My 2019 Year

My 2019 Year Highlights

2019 was a very busy year.  Janice and I went to China early in the year to visit Betsy where she was teaching English outside of Shanghai. Hannah graduated again in Kansas City and we went out for that. Of course birthdays. The China trip was kind of a big deal because we spent time in Shanghai, went out to Chongqing and took a cruise on the Yangtze River down to the three gorges Dam.  Pretty amazing. More to come.

Ben, what year was this?

Big Trip to China to Visit Betsey and Cruise the Yanzee River

When line 2 of the Chongqing Rail Transit disappears into the side of an apartment building, it may look like a Platform 9¾ situation, but it actually turns out to be a clever bit of design. With its towering skyscrapers and population of 49 million, finding free space for new infrastructure has proven challenging, to say the least. But the Liziba station provides a creative if unconventional solution. The station is built into the 6th to 8th floors of the 19-story of a residential apartment, allowing the train to sail smack dab through the middle of building.

This shows where Chongqing is located. They have the best hot pot in the world. They invented it.
